Spread across 50 acres in the golden hills of Pleasanton California resides this all inclusive luxurious retirement community. Along with 350 apartments and condos, the gated community features a 78 townhomes, a 24-hr on-site medical center, security, community center with an indoor pool, movie theater, two restaurants, and a dog park and putting green and many other amenities. PBI was contracted to complete the 350 condos and apartments, five of which are large penthouse apartments each approximately 2,500 sq. ft. along with landscaping, a bridge linking the apartments to the community center, security guard house and maintenance building. The 350 apartments and condos are broken up into two types of buildings. The Independent Living Units (ILU’s) feature apartment living style broken up between four, four-story buildings and Garden Terraces (GTs) featuring condo style living spread throughout a community of five, two-story buildings. Each apartment and condo features high ceilings with crown molding, granite countertops throughout the kitchen and bath(s), granite shower/bath, in-unit washer/dryer, modern appliances, and an assisted living paging/communication system. 300 units were reserved before the project was completed allowing residents custom unit selections among 20 different floor plans. PBI was successful in coordinating this information between the owner’s marketing department and various subcontractors to produce units to each client’s preference completing the project two weeks before the set date of completion.
